I think the same fate would befall RoL.The game has been tested on Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 10, works fine. It was a good game in its day (still is), but it was never as popular as AoE2, and the relaunch just wasn't successful enough for the developers to consider it worthwhile to continue investing in the game. AoE2HD has done quite well because they game was massively popular back in the day, whereas Age of Mythology Extended Edition has struggled. Of these retro games only the most popular have much of a chance. best case scenario it would manage to sell half a dozen copies lol.īut I don't mean to discourage you guys. If RoN is already struggling to cope with this mediocre online community (regarding the disappointing amount of players) I couldn't even imagine how bad RoL would do. however I doubt they will ever bring that to Steam. I suppose there's no accounting for taste. For what's worth, Rise of Legends is a playable game, I'll give it that. hence the fact that I refused to play AoM back in 2003. It always felt like an unpolished mess to me.
